CHAPTER 22
Ella walked inside the house and felt her stomach do a little flip of anticipation as though she had just jumped off a cliff. She was surprised at how extremely nervous she felt. It was kind of pathetic, like her first time all over again. At least this time she was doing an excellent job at covering it up, when in reality a tempest of emotions was churning inside her.
She wanted this, alright, she wanted it bad. But that didnât make it any less nerve-wracking, or scary, or thrilling, or incredibly exciting or the many other feelings that were currently fighting for control of her head and body while she desperately tried to hold onto her cool.
Ella walked to the living room and took her sweet time flipping through her phone to turn on some music, buying herself a little time to try and calm her growing nerves. She pressed play and the room filled with the opening bars of the song she picked. By now, it had to be pretty obvious where she was going with this⦠Ella closed her eyes and took a deep breath before she walked towards Katherine.
Katherine confidently took her into her arms, held her in an embrace, eyes locked on each other, their bodies pressed close together. Ella held Katherineâs hand and, instinctively, they started to slow dance.
âIâve never danced with another woman before,â Ella said. âThough, this is hardly the only âfirstâ I intend to break today,â Ella added with a grin.
Katherine closed the small distance between their faces, lightly touching their lips together. She started with the softest, most teasing kiss possible, lingering on Ellaâs lips before breaking into a full-blown passionate kiss. The rush cleared all other thoughts from her mind, leaving behind only excitement and desire.
âYou know, for a classical musician you sure listen to some pretty hip music.â
âJust because I play classical doesnât mean I only listen to music written hundreds of years ago.â
âItâs very sexy.â
Ella smiled unabashed. âAppropriate.â
Katherine raised one of her eyebrows. âWhat do you have in mind for me?â
Ella broke their gaze, her fake confidence finally eluding her. âTo be completely honest, Iâm not as confident as Iâm making myself look right now. I think I highly underprepared for this moment. Maybe I should have taken a crash course on Google first,â she joked.
Katherine laughed. âWell, from the previews, I would say you donât have to worry too much.â She kissed Ellaâs shoulder lightly, her soft lips making their sweet way up along Ellaâs neck. She sensually kissed and nibbled her ear lobe, making Ellaâs body tingle in response.
âIâll take over from here,â Katherine whispered, her voice full of desire. She led Ella to the bedroom upstairs. Ellaâs pulse thumped loudly in her ears. The intensity of her need amazed her.
Ella completely surrendered to it, and to Katherine, all fear and trepidation erased from her mind.
She kissed Katherine with hard abandon, dropping her cane. It crashed audibly against the hardwood floor. Keeping her lips locked
